January 2017: Alex presented a lecture at the California Institute for Women entitled "Chemistry of Color".
September 2016: Alex will serve as a Faculty Extramural Fellowship Advisor during the Summer and Fall of 2016 at UCLA Graduate Division.

September 2016: Members of the Spokoyny Group have volunteered at the Midnight Mission kitchen.
June 2016: Alex Spokoyny participates in the California Institute for Women (CIW) outreach event aimed to initiate a prison education initiative.
May 2016: The Spokoyny Group spends another fantastic afternoon showing chemistry demos to middle-schoolers as a part of the annual STEM Day organized by UCLA Advancing Women in Science and Engineering (AWiSE).
April 2016: Alex Spokoyny and Marco Messina give a lecture/demo show in front of more than 100 students at the ISLC High School (South Gate, Los Angeles).

March 2016: Together with CBGSA Alex co-hosts Dr. Rusti Blanski from Edwards AFB for a Career Panel at UCLA.
November 2015: Alex participates as a faculty mentor in the annual Outreach and Diversity Day hosted by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UCLA.
September 2015: Alex spent a day and gave a presentation to undergraduates at CSU Chico.
August 2015: Alex became a new Chapter Advisor for the Beta Gamma Chapter of the Alpha Chi Sigma Fraternity at UCLA.
